Visualization with Unity and Mixamo

Unity is a great tool for visualization. Rather than having to look at static renderings of an environment, Unity allows you to interactively navigate the environment in real time. For a long time game engines were not as easy or available to use as they are now. As a consequence, they were not as obvious a tool for visualization as they have become. Using a game engine to get a feel for an environment is essential.

However there is one aspect missing from many visualization, people. Having people in your scene gives it a sense of scale and reality that is missing when all you have is an empty sterile environment. Mixamo specialized in providing character content that is of a high quality and ready to use in a game engine. In this video we are going to look at how to incorporate character into a scene that we build in blender. We will also look at how to add realistic lighting to the scene and how to match the lighting of a static environment to dynamic characters.
