THE VANGUARD

Sworn defenders of the Galactic Nations. These super soldiers are cybernetically enhanced, gifts granted to them by the power source Heluim3. Because of these man made super powers they are only dispatched in the most dire of situations. Now an attack on the one of the largest heluim3 mining outposts in the system has forced the hand of the Galatic Nations and the Vanguard has been sent in.

VOID PIRATES

These femme fatales descend from the Eridanus Supervoid, a dark matterless sector of deepspace and ransack mining outposts for Helium3, equipment and machinery. Because of their harsh living conditions they often have artificial limbs and support themselves on whatever they can steal. They've just begun an attack one the of the largest Helium3 outposts in the system, if they can make it out alive they will live like queens!

SUBMISSION RULES

1) Poly count must not exceed 40,000 Triangles.

2) Choose a character from the two choices above and bring it to life. The characters must have 2 arms and 2 legs and Reflect the 3 described details of the chosen character from above.

3) 2048x2048 Textures MAX. You can use the following map types (diffuse, alpha, normal, specular, specular color, glow) diffuse, normal and specular encouraged!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

THE FOLLOWING MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR ENTRY

1) Beauty Shot (Posed, lit and rendered for show)

2) Construction (A shot depicting the wireframe in at least one front and back shot)

3) Texture Sheet (A single images displaying all used texture maps)

FREE Auto-Rigging for contestants
(Optional)

Contestants modeling and entering characters into the contest are eligible for a FREE Auto-Rigging from Mixamo to aid them in the posing of their characters. If you wish to have your entry Auto-Rigged just follows these three (3) easy steps:

1) Sign up on Mixamo.com
2) Upload your Mesh to our Auto-Rigger and Auto-Rig!
3) E-mail Contest@Mixamo.com with you Username and Mesh Name.

We'll unlock the Auto-Rig as soon as possible.

PARTICIPATION: By submitting to the Mixamo Space Battle Character Contest you agree that you did all the hard work and didn't buy the character online or steal the images. Submitting stolen images or a copyrighted character is in direct violation of the rules and probably some serious laws. Doing so will get you disqualified, and totally shamed by your peers. Participants may be contacted directly by Mixamo in regards to the possibility of purchasing ownership and rights to the entries. Winner will also be featured on our website and Mixamo advertisements around the web.

WINNINGS: The prize winning submissions will be awarded their respective prizes listed above. Prize winners will be issued taxs forms as well along with the check.
