Face Plus is the world’s first facial capture and animation technology delivered directly inside a 3D game engine. Forget about expensive equipment, sticky markers, endless importing and exporting from and to several 3D programs. With Face Plus, all you need to do is sit down in front of a webcam, act out the expressions you want to apply to your 3D character, and watch it happen in real time within your game engine.

You can hook up any character to Face Plus. If you are using Blendshapes (we recommend this for simplicity and flexibility) all you need to do is to create Blendshapes for your character using the Mixamo Face Rig naming convention as described in the Face Plus and Mixamo Face Rig documentation.
The Face Plus plugin was developed with Unity devs in mind. The UI is simple: click the record button to capture your facial expression, creating an .anim file for your character. You are then free to edit the 3D facial animation, tweak it to get the exact result you want and that’s it!
Face Plus requires a Unity Pro license, version 4.2.x - 4.6.x., or MotionBuilder 2014 Face Plus will work with bone animations for 4.2 users. Unity 4.3 users will get the full Face Plus experience with blendshape facial animations.
A standard webcam is all you need to use Face Plus. HD is always a plus but even VGA will do the trick. The plugin currently runs on Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OSX 10.9.x and video cards supporting Open CL 1.1 and all later versions. More info can be found right here.
